Additional safety when using LPG appliances: The automatic GOK SBS/AU hose rupture protection device helps prevent uncontrolled gas discharge if a hose is damaged, torn or disconnected.
The safety device is fitted directly to the outlet of a 50 mbar low-pressure regulator and before the gas hose. If the gas flow rises significantly above normal consumption, for example because of a ruptured hose, the device automatically shuts off the gas supply.
Its G 1/4 LH female swivel nut and G 1/4 LH male connection match the left-hand threaded connections used on many LPG regulators and hoses. The flow capacity of 1.5 kg/h makes it suitable for numerous portable 50 mbar gas appliances.
The device does not protect against every possible small gas leak, but it considerably reduces gas discharge in the event of a major hose defect.
HOW CAN IT BE USED WITH A CAMPER OR VW BUS?
The hose rupture protection device is particularly useful when a separate gas cylinder, 50 mbar regulator and longer hose are used at the campsite, for example with:
- Gas barbecues
- Camping cookers
- Approved 50 mbar outdoor appliances
- Portable cooking equipment beside the camper
- Longer gas hoses exposed to regular handling
- Older campers with an existing approved 50 mbar gas system
The typical arrangement is:
Gas cylinder → 50 mbar regulator → hose rupture protection device → gas hose → appliance
Outside the vehicle, gas hoses may be damaged by camping furniture, vehicles, sharp edges or repeated assembly and dismantling. If a major defect causes the gas flow to rise sharply, the safety device automatically shuts off the supply.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This hose rupture protection device is intended exclusively for 50 mbar systems. It is not suitable for modern 30 mbar onboard gas installations and must not be used to operate a 50 mbar appliance from a 30 mbar system.
It is not a pressure regulator and does not alter the gas pressure. The gas cylinder, regulator, hose, safety device and appliance must all be compatible in terms of gas type, operating pressure, capacity and connections.
Modern motorhomes and caravans normally use a 30 mbar onboard gas system. In these vehicles, this 50 mbar version is primarily suitable for a separate 50 mbar gas supply operated outside the vehicle.
It does not replace a crash sensor or a suitable high-pressure hose with an integrated safety device when operating the gas installation while driving.
Installation, leak testing and operation must comply with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable national regulations. After installation, check every connection using an approved leak detection fluid – never use a naked flame.
