On type 4 1700cc–2000cc engines there is a linkage betwen the
twin carbs which is held in place by this spring.
If the spring is worn or weakened, the linkage may bind.
This genuine VW part fits all 1700cc, 1800cc and
2000cc engines from 1972–1983.
